Golliwog

History of the Golliwog. ‘Le Golliwogg perfume is named after a character from children’s stories of 19th century and the African culture, although today that inspiration and design can be considered very racist. It was launched in 1919 in France, and in 1925 in USA. The packing of the perfume was created by Michel de Brunoff and his brother-in-law Lucien Vogel (one of the founders of Vigny perfume house) – both editors of the French Vogue. The nose behind this fragrance is Jacque Vogel.’
This is a large Golliwog perfume stopper. He is missing a lot of his hair. The stopper itself is in great shape. $75
